Mr D'Souza is General Surgeon with an interest in all Colorectal pathology. Patients commonly seek his help for investigation of anaemia, rectal bleeding, bowel cancer, and hernias.
Mr Basil D'Zouza achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010. Following this he undertook four years of general and advanced training with fellowships at the Northern Hospital Epping, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney and the Western Hospital in Melbourne. Basil completed his advanced training through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) in 2014.
Mr D'Souza receives great satisfaction from helping his patients succeed in all aspects of their health and well-being and prides himself on being thorough whilst striving to treat all patients with humility and patience.
He also has an interest in clinical research and is actively involved in the teaching, training and supervision of research for medical students, surgical trainees and fellows. He is a Senior Lecturer in the University of Melbourne Clinical School and ?has a public hospital appointment at the Northern Hospital in Epping.
