As a patient, you will receive fresh, innovative and nutritious meals prepared daily by our onsite chefs. Each morning you will receive a menu from which you may select meals according to your taste and dietary requirements. Consultant dieticians are also available to provide assistance with special dietary requirements.
If you have any concerns with your meals during your stay, please ask your nurse to contact the Catering Manager, who will be happy to meet with you and discuss your requirements further.
Located in the main foyer on the ground floor of the hospital, the cafe offers a range of hot and cold beverages, sandwiches and cakes. Opening hours are between 7am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
The hospital does not provide a personal laundry service. Please make your own arrangements with the help of family or friends. If this is not possible, please ask your nurse about alternatives.
An Interpreter service can be arranged if necessary. Please discuss this requirement with your nurse.
We are committed to providing flexible and family friendly care to the littlest of our patients. We recognise that any period of hospitalisation can be stressful for all concerned and our aim is to provide a safe yet family oriented environment.
We encourage parents to bring with them their child's favourite toys or bedding to help alleviate any anxiety they may be feeling. Overnight accommodation is available to stay with your child.
A range of chaplaincy services are available on request to offer emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.
Northern Private Hospital is a smoke free campus.
All electrical equipment that is to be used whilst you are in Hospital, must be tested and approved prior to use. For your own safety we recommended that you bring only essential equipment with you into Hospital. However, in the event that you do need to bring electrical equipment with you, we ask that you liaise with your nurse for your device to be checked.
Please report to main Reception on the Ground floor of the hospital.
A parent/Guardian is required to stay with a child during their entire hospital stay. We will provide a fold out bed for one parent to stay overnight with their child. We also encourage parents, where possible, to assist with the washing, dressing, feeding and entertaining of their child.
