Mr Shav Rupasinghe is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon treating conditions of the upper limbs, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. He consults and operates at Northern Private Hospital, and has a public appointment at Mercy Hospital Werribee.
Mr Rupasinghe earned his medical degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and completed his orthopaedic training there. He achieved Fellowship at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018, followed by advanced sub-specialty training in Sports Surgery in Bristol, UK, Upper Limb Surgery at Wrightington, and Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, and Hand Surgery at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London, Ontario (Western University).
He has collaborated with leading experts in upper limb orthopaedics across North America and Europe, gaining valuable experience in treating conditions such as rotator cuff tears, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and various hand and wrist injuries. He also performs joint replacements for the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.
