Dr Simon Glance is a Melbourne-based gastroenterologist with experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopic procedures. He provides evidence-based care for a wide range of digestive health conditions, with a focus on patient-centred treatment.
Dr Glance completed his specialist training in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, followed by a fellowship in advanced endoscopy.
Dr Glance works closely with dietitians to provide a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to long-term gut health. He is committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending national and international conferences to remain up to date with the latest advances in gastroenterology and hepatology.
At Northern Health, Dr Glance serves as Deputy Director of Gastroenterology and is actively involved in training physician trainees and medical students. He previously held the position of Director of Gastroenterology for more than a decade, contributing to the development and growth of the department.
He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), and the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO).
