Soheil Ghane-Asle is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, who has undertaken international sub-specialty training in all aspects of hip and knee surgery. He has a particular focus on Hip and Knee arthroplasty and revision arthroplasty. He also maintains a strong interest in all aspects of orthopaedic trauma.
Soheil grew up in Adelaide and attained his medical degree with honors at Monash University in Melbourne in 2005. He completed his Orthopaedic training in Victoria becoming a fellow of the Australian college of surgeons in 2015. He spent 18 months as a staff specialist at the Northern, Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals with a significant on-call and trauma load.
In 2017, Dr Ghane-Asle pursued a UK fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction and arthroplasty under the guidance of Professor David Beverland, a globally recognized expert. Further expanding his skills, he spent three months at the Mater Hospital mastering anterior computer-navigated hip arthroplasty.
The year 2018-2019 marked Dr Ghane-Asle transformative fellowship at the prestigious Wrightington Hospital in the UK. This comprehensive program covered pelvic trauma, complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, and hip arthroscopy. Throughout his UK fellowships, he extensively travelled across Europe, refining his abilities through visitations with prominent surgeons.
Presently, Dr Ghane- Asle has a public hospital appointment at Northern Health, actively participating in trauma on-call duties and imparting knowledge to Orthopaedic Registrars.

David was born and raised in Melbourne and has completed the majority of his Vascular, Endovascular and General surgical training in Melbourne. After graduating from Medicine in 2005 from The University of New South Wales, he undertook General and Vascular surgical training in various hospitals throughout Melbourne and also spent one year at Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand. He obtained a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in General Surgery in 2013, and subsequently a second fellowship in Vascular Surgery in 2017.
David is a visiting medical specialist and has both private and public appointments at various locations in Melbourne. He welcomes all patients with Vascular disease and can accommodate non-insured patients at The Northern Hospital, where he is the Director and Head of Unit of Vascular Surgery. He has worked in the renowned Royal Melbourne Hospital Diabetic Foot Unit which specialises in the salvage of complex and chronic diabetic foot wounds, which is of particular interest to him.
David and one of his partners Iman have developed the first Vascular Surgery service at Bendigo Hospital in 2018. David is a specialist in both open and minimally invasive endovascular techniques in both arterial and venous diseases. His particular interests are in minimally invasive vascular surgery, venous disease and diabetic foot ulcer disease. He also provides combined spinal access surgery with various neurosurgeons.
David maintains the best up to date practice, and regularly attends and has presented at both local and international Vascular scientific meetings. He has been author to several scientific articles and peer reviewed journal articles. He firmly believes in education and remains an active participant in training junior doctors being an examiner at the inaugural Western Australia Vascular Exam course in 2018, and also being co-convenor of the Vascular Surgery trainee meeting in Melbourne 2018. He has been the supervisor of Vascular training at The Royal
Melbourne Hospital and is the current supervisor at The Northern Hospital.
David strives to see referrals in a timely manner within two weeks and urgent appointments can be arranged within the week. If required, admission to public or private hospitals can be arranged for acute vascular conditions. He is also happy to be contacted directly for advice.

Andrew is an Orthopaedic surgeon based in Melbourne. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and finished his Orthopaedic Surgical training though the Victorian training Program becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. He underwent further training internationally with fellowships in the UK and Canada. He has been a consultant surgeon at Austin Health since 2007 and has also worked at the Alfred Hospital and Monash Health (current).
He also holds teaching faculty positions for training courses for junior doctors such as AO Trauma, AO reconstruction (joint replacement), OTC and EMST.
He believes in treating patients with a considered evidence based approach coupled with a quest to understand the individual and their particular needs. He also participates in enhanced recovery/ early discharge programs for joint replacement.

Paul completed his ENT surgery training in Liverpool, UK and is a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Paul then undertook further training in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Rhinology/Functional Rhinoplasty in Adelaide Australia in 2013.
Paul has worked in ENT throughout Australia, in Adelaide, Melbourne, Alice Springs and Launceston.
Dr Goodyear currently works as an ENT surgeon and Head of Unit at Northern Health in Epping and consults privately at Northern Private Hospital. He also has a public hospital appointment at Launceston General Hospital. Paul is also passionate about providing access to ENT services for regional and rural communities. Paul was born in Scotland and moved to Australia 12 years ago. He is passionate about travel, Manchester United and golf. He is happily married with two beautiful children.
Dr Ashok Gunawardene is a General Surgeon with an interest in hiatus hernia, gallstone disease, laparoscopic hernia repair and management of obesity. He offers weight loss procedures including intra-gastric balloon insertion and management and sleeve gastrectomy and is a GESA-accredited practitioner in upper and lower GI endoscopy.
Dr Ashok Gunawardene qualified with Honours from the University of Birmingham in 2009, following a First Class Bachelor's degree in Anatomy from the University of Leeds. After surgical training in the UK, he completed advanced General Surgery training in New Zealand and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He also earned a PhD through research on inflammation and colorectal cancer. Dr Gunawardene further refined his skills with a year of advanced upper GI surgery training through the AANZGOSA program, focusing on laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques.
Dr Medhat Ilias is a well-known provider of treatment for women with various gynaecological conditions. He has extensive experience in all aspects of general gynaecology and has gained additional experience in urogynaecology and endoscopic surgery.
Medhat is an accredited Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides consultations and performs surgical procedures for both public and private patients. He has an interest in minimally invasive surgery and can treat most of the gynaecological conditions by Laparoscopy (keyhole) or Hysteroscopic approach.
Mr Issac is a General Surgeon with interests in breast and endocrine surgery. His aim is to provide his patients with the level of care that I expect my own family to receive. Mr Issac has been a consultant surgeon since 2009 and has worked in Victoria, NSW and Queensland in this capacity before settling in Victoria in 2011.
He currently holds the position of Head of Surgical Unit 2 at Northern Health.
Michael's surgical training started in 2001 as a basic surgical trainee through the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). He then completed Advanced surgical training in NSW through Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) from 2004 to 2007. His Post-fellowship training (2008-2011) was undertaken at Liverpool Hospital (NSW), Princess Alexandra Hospital (QLD) and St Vincent’s Hospital (VIC).

Dr Vikram Iyer is a specialist vascular surgeon with experience in managing a wide range of vascular conditions. He performs traditional open surgery, minimally invasive endovascular treatments, and non-surgical management options.
Dr Iyer’s areas of focus include the management of aortic aneurysms and dissections, as well as limb salvage techniques for patients with chronic limb-threatening ischaemia and advanced diabetic foot conditions. He has published extensively on these topics and is committed to evidence-based vascular care.
Dr Izzettin is a dual trained consultant geriatrician and specialist general physician with interests in cognitive decline and dementia, frailty, polypharmacy and medication rationalising, falls and osteoporosis. His interests in general medicine include heart failure, diabetes, hypertension and chronic disease management.
Ibrahim commenced his specialist physician training in geriatric medicine at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and moved to The Alfred Hospital in 2020 where he subsequently completed his dual training and currently holds a public appointment at The Alfred as a General Physician and Geriatrician. Dr Izzettin also holds an Adjunct Lecturer (Practice) position with Monash University. He is regularly engaged with medical teaching, physician education and clinical research.
Dr Izzettin is also fluent in the Turkish language and is motivated in ensuring that patients from all backgrounds are optimally cared for.
Mr Jeyathevan is a specialist Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon who completed his advanced surgical training in Adelaide & Melbourne. After finishing degrees in science, medicine and dentistry, JJ provides the broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including all aspects of dentoalveolar surgery (removal of teeth, including wisdom teeth, placement of implants and bone grafts), facial trauma, pathology and corrective jaw surgery.
JJ currently holds positions at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and Monash Health Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit. He is also part of the teaching team at University of Melbourne for Dental Students, as well as the Victorian Oral Maxillofacial Training program.
JJ is available for consultations and local anaesthetics and is now consuling at Northern Private Hospital.
