Dr Anastasia Vlachadis Castles is a consutant Cardiologist with an interest in valvular heart disease, chest pain, women’s heart health and cardiac imaging.
Anastasia previously trained and worked as a radiographer and then graduated in Medicine from Deakin University in 2013. She has also completed a Master of Health Professional Education in 2016 and a Master of Clinical Ultrasound in 2020 and then completed her cardiology specialty training early 2021, training at The Northern Hospital, University Hospital Geelong and Royal Melbourne Hospital, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Anastasia has published and presented research both locally and internationally, on such topics as radiation exposure in coronary angiography, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, medical education and women in cardiology.
She is also a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Melbourne Medical School and instructs Advanced Life Support courses for clinicians.
Dr Castles is proud to be serving as a cardiologist in the local community where she grew up. She believes in approaching patients’ problems holistically and partnering with patients to manage their individual healthcare needs.

Dr. Linda Walmsley fully believes that life wants to happen, and reproductive services should be more accessible to all. She is from South Africa, where her work in both urban and rural centres opened her eyes to the significant inequality and differences that are present in access to women’s healthcare.
Linda completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training in South Africa. After receiving her fellowship, she worked and taught at a busy university hospital for 5 years, while continuing further training in reproductive medicine. Linda moved to Melbourne in 2016 to open a new low-cost IVF clinic where she worked in Fertility medicine for eight years.
Dr Henry Wong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010.His advanced training was completed at Austin, Northern, Monash and Alfred Health, and in 2019 he attained his dual fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in both Endocrinology and General Medicine. He currently holds public senior staff specialist appointments at both Northern and Peninsula Health. Dr Wong is involved in junior medical staff education, and he is also the educational supervisor for a number of basic physician trainees. Dr Wong is compassionate, approachable, and strives to provide excellent patient centred care with a focus on good communication and a holistic approach to medical management plans.
Dr Wong is an Infectious disease and General Medical Physician; with a broad interest in common acute and chronic infections, diabetic foot infections, infections in immunocompromised patients, preventative health and medical education. After graduating in 2002, Dr Wong completed her advanced training at Northern Health, Western Health, and Austin Health. She is a visiting General Medical and Infectious Disease physician across several networks including Northern Health, Northern Private, Peninsula Health and Wangaratta Health. Dr Wong is pleased to see referrals for both Infectious Diseases and General Medical consultations.
Dr Wai Mun (Raymond) Wong is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and underwent training in respiratory and sleep medicine at Peninsula Health, Austin Health and the Victorian Respiratory Support Service (VRSS).
Upon completion of training, he was conferred Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Wong has experience in managing general respiratory conditions (asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, pleural conditions) and sleep disorders. He is also competent in providing care for patients with complicated ventilatory diseases, having obtained training at VRSS.
He has an interest in lung cancer diagnosis and chronic airway diseases management and has published several articles in these fields.
Dr Wong is trained in bronchoscopy and has undergone further training in Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) which is pivotal in the diagnosis of lung cancer. He has completed a Certificate in Clinical Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) in pleural diseases.
Dr Wong is a member of Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), Australasian Sleep Association (ASA), European Respiratory Society (ERS) and Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM). He holds public appointments as a respiratory and sleep medicine physician at Austin Health. He also consults at Warringal Private and Mitcham Private hospitals.
Dr Wong understands that every patient’s journey is different. He adopts a patientcentred approach and enjoys partnering with other health professionals to deliver cohesive multidisciplinary care. He also offers bulk-billing respiratory function testing and sleep studies through his clinic. Additionally, he is able to converse in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
Mr Yong graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2003 and subsequently trained in General Surgery through the Victoria Training Program to obtain his fellowship in 2010.
In 2006, Mr. Yong won the Graeme Duffy Memorial Prize for the best research presentation, before he furthered his training in liver, biliary and pancreatic surgery under the auspices of the Australian and New Zealand Hepatic Pancreatic and Biliary Association (ANZHPBA). He also worked in the Australian National Liver Transplant Unit during this time.
Mr Yong is fluent in various languages, including Malay and various Chinese dialects such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and Hokien. He currently also holds a public appointment at Northern Hospital, Epping, as a consultant surgeon. Mr Yong is one of a few surgeons in Australia who currently performs the laparoscopic whipple’s procedure.

Dr Emily Young graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2005. Since then she has become specialized in the field of Otorhinolaryngology. She undertook speciality training at various hospitals in the United Kingdom including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham gaining her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016.
Dr Young has completed advanced fellowship training in Vancouver, at Canada’s leading hospitals, including St Paul’s Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital, under the tutelage of Dr Brian Westerberg and Dr Jane Lea and training in the area of neuro-otology and otology. She was awarded the Colledge Family Fellowship fund and during her fellowship abroad Emily obtained her Masters in Public Health from the University of Liverpool.
Dr Young and her family relocated to regional South West Victoria and in 2022 Emily passed the Fellowship of the Royal Australia College of Surgeons. Dr Young is one of only a handful of surgeons to be fully registered as an ENT specialist in both Australia and the United Kingdom by way of examination. In 2023 Dr Young will be taking up public appointment at the Northern Hospital in Epping, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and will be consulting in Fairfield and the new Northern Private Hospital.
Dr Young treats all general adult and pediatric ENT conditions.Dr Young has published in a number of leading journals and presented at international conferences in the field of ENT. Emily welcomes all ENT referrals.
Outside of medicine, Emily enjoys travel, painting, hiking and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Dr Brian Yue is a Plastic Surgeon with an interest in hand surgery, skin cancer treatments, and cosmetic procedures for the face and body. Dr Yue has extensive experience in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic techniques, and also in trauma reconstruction, hand surgery, breast surgery, and microsurgery. Dr Yue holds public appointments at the Northern Hospital, Western Hospital, and University Hospital Geelong, where he actively mentors junior doctors.
Dr Yue is committed to advancing the field of plastic surgery through innovation and has received recognition for his research in breast and head and neck surgery.
Dr Zakariyya completed his early medical training in the UK and received membership with the Royal College of Physicians in 2007. He then moved to Australia and completed his physician training in Queensland and Cardiology training in Melbourne. Following this, Dr Zakariyya underwent advanced interventional and structural heart disease training including TAVI at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand. Dr Zakariyya is trained in transthoracic echo, contrast echo, stress echo and cardiac CT.
Dr Zakariyya has performed extensive humanitarian work as an interventional cardiologist.
His earlier appointments include working with NHS at Gloucestershire Hospital, UK, as a consultant interventional cardiologist providing coronary intervention and cardiac CT services.
Dr Zakariyya is well published and has presented research findings at various national and international conferences.
