Dr Laura Maddy obtained her medical degree from Deakin University in 2011 and completed her training in haematology in Victoria at Barwon Health, St Vincent’s Hospital, Austin Health, and Northern Health. She obtained dual fellowships from the Royal Australasian Colleges of Physicians and Pathologists in 2020 and cared for patients in regional Victoria throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.Laura enjoys seeing a breadth of haematology cases, both malignant and benign, with a focus on compassionate and patient-centred care.
Dr Usman Mahmood is a General Physician with broad knowledge of Nephrology and its related areas, providing kidney care and treatment of kidney disease. He is also a General Physician. After graduating in 2006, Dr Mahmood underwent post-graduate training in public hospitals across Victoria, Northern Territory and Queensland. In 2017, he was awarded a fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Mahmood has public appointments at Northern Health and Western Health. He also consults privately in Epping and Gisborne He has published publications in various peer-review journals. He is a current Editor with Intech Open, world's biggest publisher of open access books. Dr Mahmood is passionate about teaching junior medical staff including residents and medical students. Dr Mahmood also look after peri-operative patients and holds a certificate in Perioperative Medicine from the Alfred Hospital. He regularly attends local and international conferences and has a certification in Clinical Nephropathology from the Harvard University, USA.
When Dr Mahmood is not treating patients, he loves teaching junior medical staff, including residents and medical students.
Dr Mahmood can speak four languages including English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi and can consult in these languages. Outside work, he is a cricket lover and enjoys spending time with his family.
Dr. Vanessa Manitta is a general haematologist with experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of non-malignant and malignant blood disorders as well as providing advice on abnormal haematological investigations.

Dr. Vanessa Manitta is of Italian background and completed her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine degree with honours at Monash University Melbourne. She completed her dual fellowship in clinical and laboratory haematology at various tertiary institutions throughout Melbourne, including The Alfred hospital, St. Vincent’s hospital and the Northern hospital. She completed her laboratory training at St John of God pathology in Geelong.
Dr. Vanessa Manitta currently practices as a consultant haematologist and obstetric haematologist /medicine physician at the Northern Hospital, Epping and is actively involved in Northern Health’s thrombosis and obstetric research units. In addition, Dr Vanessa Manitta works at Northern Health Pathology service as a laboratory haematologist reporting blood films and bone marrows.
She is passionate about teaching and is a clinical tutor for Melbourne University medical students.
Ms Manolopoulos completed her undergraduate training at Monash University in 1999 and completed her training in Orthopaedic surgery in 2011.
Her interests include Adult and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, particularly developmental dysplasia of the hip, and Third World Orthopaedics, especially work via outreach projects, as an annual commitment.
Ms Manolopoulos is currently undertaking a Master of Public Health via Flinders University to complement her intense interest in research. She has previously been involved in projects that examine the role of computer devices in paediatric physiotherapy, and is currently part of a number of research projects at Northern and Western hospitals. She also has a keen interest in education, being a medical student tutor for the University of Melbourne, and being involved in GP and Emergency Physician education.
Ms Manolopoulos is involved with IMG (International Medical Graduate) education with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Ms Manolopoulos is a first line assessor for the Victorian Audit of Surgical Mortality (VASM) and takes an active role in hospital as well as personal auditing of her cases.

Dr Nilesh Mehta is a senior cardiologist and Director of Northside cardiology. He has been working at Northern Hospital for last 13 years as a cardiologist with a focus in interventional cardiology.
Nilesh completed his basic medical and cardiology training at Mumbai University, India. He completed Interventional Cardiology fellowship from St Vincent’s Health and was awarded FRACP from Melbourne University in 2007. He has clinical interest in complex coronary interventions- chronic total occlusion and Rotablator angioplasty for heavily calcified blockages. He also has keen interest in preventive cardiology, and echocardiography.
Nilesh is actively involved in teaching and mentoring cardiology registrars and advanced trainees.
Nilesh enjoys running, surfing and competing in triathlons.
Dr Mueed Mian completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and underwent his training in rheumatology and general medicine at Austin Hospital, Northern Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Dr Mian is passionate about teaching and is a director of physician education at the Central NorthWest Consortium at Northern Hospital. He currently holds public positions at Northern Hospital as consultant rheumatologist and general physician. Dr Mian is also director and co-founder of Epping Specialist Group. He has previously been a tutor for the University of Melbourne medical school and has also held an advisory role for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Mueed strives for the best possible outcomes in patients suffering from pain and disability. His aim is to get to a diagnosis for complex medical conditions in the most efficient way possible without compromising his compassionate and professional mannerism.
Dr Mian has clinical expertise in a wide range of rheumatological conditions, with a keen research interest in musculoskeletal disorders and was given an award in research from the Australian Rheumatology Association and New Zealand Rheumatology Association.
When not working, Mueed enjoys watching cricket and football and spending time with his wife and two children. Mueed is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
Dr Dominika Mohoric-Stare is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who provides gynaecological services at Northern Private Hospital. She graduated from The University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1999 (MD). She completed her Master in International Public Health form Sydney University in 2002.
Dominika underwent specialist training and worked in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014. She currently works publicly in The Northern Hospital in Epping. She also consults privately at the North Preston Specialists in Bundoora.
As a generalist gynaecologist, Dominika offers consultations for a wide range of gynaecology problems.
Dr Jennifer Mooi is a Medical Oncologist who has expertise in managing all types of solid organ cancers with clinical interests in gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers.

Dr Moreira completed General Surgical Training in 2020 at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, followed by completion of subspecialty training in breast surgery through the Breast Surgery (BSANZ) Fellowship program in 2023. She has completed a Masters degree in Advanced Surgery (Breast Surgery) through the University of Sydney.
